Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well!
Sorry for the absence on here, I am back today with a little hair styling blog post. I wanted to share with you all how I style my curly hair, because I have finally found a method that works for me and doesn’t require a lot of skills. Also, it’s really quick!
For so long, especially as a kid and young teenager, I had no idea how to style my curly hair. People would regularly make fun of my hair and therefore, I hated my curls. I was ashamed, so I would just put it in a ponytail everyday. I didn’t know how to style or take care of my hair. Now, I enjoy more than ever my curly hair, I haven’t used a straightener in years. Thanks to my hairstylist, I have learned how to make my curls look defined and I’m just obsessed with the result. So this is for all my curly haired readers, embrace your curls!
So, I wanted to share my little routine, which is super simple and doesn’t take a lot of time. I don’t do this every single day, but I do this more and more often for sure. Hope you like this blog post, happy reading!

Step 1: Shampoo & towel dry
Most of the time, I use a Head and Shoulders shampoo, because my scalp is pretty dry. From time to time, I also really like the Garnier Whole Blends Repairing Shampoo in Honey Treasures. It smells so nice and it’s really hydrates and strengthens your hair.
After that, I just put my hair in a little turban. I love to use this one by Turbie Twist. It’s made of microfiber, which is super absorbent and really light weight. I leave it on for about 10 minutes (sometimes a little less) so my hair is towel dried (it shouldn’t be dripping wet).
Step 2: Curl cream
I have tried a couple different kinds of products for curly hair, but this one is definitely my favorite. It’s the Luscious Curl Cream by Christophe Robin. It has 99% natural ingredients, including flaxseed oil. It’s also fragrance free, paraben free, silicone free and alcohol free. It’s not the cheapest product out there, but it’s not overpriced like others that I have seen in store. Also, it protects your hair from the heat, up to 230°C (440°F)!
I use a Quarter sized amount, warm the product in my hands and work it through my hair, from roots to tips. Don’t be afraid to be generous! The cream penetrates quickly and what I really like is that it doesn’t leave your hands all sticky like other products that I have tried in the past. I like to scrunch my hair whilst I’m working the product in, to add volume and make sure the cream goes everywhere.
Step 3: Blow dry with a diffuser
Then, time to dry your hair! On the tube of the curl cream, it says you can either blow dry your hair with a diffuser or simply let it air dry. I like to use a diffuser, but if you don’t like to use heat on your hair it’s totally fine.
I like to use the hair dryer with my head upside down, to create more volume. I use the diffuser for about 5 minutes, or until I can feel that my hair is almost completely dry.
Once it’s dry, I don’t use any hairspray. My hair feels soft, it’s not sticky nor feels crunchy. The curls are defined and my hair feels light, love the result!
And there you go, this is how I style my curly hair! Hope you liked this post, please let me know what you like to use for your curls in the comments below.
Thank you so much for reading, have a great day/night and I will talk to you in my next blog post!
