Hello everyone, I hope you’re well!
Today I wanted to talk about one of my most recent investments: the Foreo Luna 3. I’ve had it for about two weeks so I will share my first impressions with you.
First of all, I feel the need to say that this post is not sponsored by Foreo, I bought my device with my own money. I actually bought my Luna 3 because I found out that Clarisonic are shutting down (I was sooo sad!). I tried to find the original Clarisonic brush heads but unfortunately I couldn’t find them anywhere.
I was pretty sad because I’ve used my Clarisonic Aria for 6 years and it was my favorite thing ever. It still worked amazingly well, I actually couldn’t believe I had used it for this long! But, since I couldn’t buy the brush heads anywhere I was in the need of a new device.
I knew that the number 1 competitor for Clarisonic was Foreo, which is a Swedish brand that makes facial cleansing devices. After a lot of research, my heart finally settled for the Luna 3, which I think is their newest device. I chose the one for sensitive skin, but there is also a normal skin one and one for combination skin. I also got the normal sized device, they also have smaller ones (the mini & the travel size).
Browsing their official website, I saw that they had a special 30$ discount code for Clarisonic customers, which I thought was really nice. Make sure you check that out if you’re looking to buy a Foreo! Not sure for how long they’ll keep this offer going though.

Key Points
Anyway, let’s start talking about the device that I got. Here are a few key points that they state on the official Foreo website:
- T-Sonic Pulsations: 16 adjustable pulsations to lift away dirt, oil & dead skin cells
- Targeted firming massage
- Extra-soft touch points: Glide across the skin for a deep, yet gentle cleanse
- Ultra–hygienic silicone: Prevents bacteria buildup with quick–drying & non-porous design
- Smart Swedish design: 100% waterproof with no replacement brush heads needed
What I love the most
First, you can adjust the intensity of the pulsations from 1 (the lowest) to 16 (the highest) and you can also adjust them according to which zone you are cleansing. For instance, if you want a deeper cleanse on your forehead, you can put the pulsations at an 8, and if you want a more gentle cleanse on your cheeks you can put the pulsations at a 3. I find this super cool, that way you can find what works the best for you! Right now, I have each zone at a 5 (so that’s my cheeks, nose and forehead).
Secondly, I love that it’s waterproof. I always used my Clarisonic in the shower so I really wanted to be able to do the same with another device. I just think it’s more convenient for me!
Thirdly, I really liked that you didn’t need to replace any brush heads. That way, you just purchase the device and that’s it! That’s probably the only thing I didn’t like with the Clarisonic, because the brush heads were quite expensive and you were supposed to change them every three months.
And last, the silicone is really hygienic. It’s really easy to rince off and clean after each use. It also dries quickly! I have sensitive combination skin so for me the hygienic aspect of the device was super important.
Final Thoughts
So far, I have been really enjoying using my Luna 3. It’s super easy to use and I am seeing great results, as I did with my Clarisonic. I was really afraid that it wasn’t going to be as effective as the Clarisonic Aria, but thankfully it’s the same for me! I love that it’s gentle and that you get a really good cleanse. For me, it really helped reduce my acne and the overall texture of my skin, it feels much smoother and even. The Luna 3 comes with a charger and a little travel pouch.
On the other hand, what I don’t really like is that you have to download the Foreo App to adjust the intensity of the pulsations. Every time you want to make a change to the intensity, you have to connect the device to the app. If you want to have the firming massage, you also have to use the app. Thankfully, once you’re all set and you found the perfect settings you can totally use the device without the app. I think this is the only thing I dislike for now, nothing too dramatic!
And that’s it, these were my first impressions of the Foreo Luna 3! I hope you found this helpful, please let me know if you have any questions or if you simply want to share your thoughts on it in the comments😊
Thank you so much for reading, have a great day/night and I will talk to you in my next blog post!
