Hello there everyone, I hope you are doing very well!
Today I wanted to write something makeup related, more specifically a little makeup tutorial. I’ve decided to call the makeup look I’ve created summer glow, since it’s deep red and bronze. It’s perfect for a summer festival, a wedding or just to make yourself glow and turn into a summer goddess!
I really hope you will like this summer makeup look, please tag me on your pictures if you recreate it!
Disclaimer: I am not a makeup artist, I learned how to apply makeup myself and thanks to tutorials online. I am not saying that there is only one way to apply a certain product, I am just explaining how I apply it. All opinions are my own as always and this post is not sponsored. Face & Brows
Before starting your makeup, make sure that your face is clean and moisturized!
First things first, primer! For this look I decided to use the Urban Decay Optical Illusion primer, this one is smoothing and pore perfecting. It’s also really mattifying which I really love! I just use my finger tips to apply it on my T zone, which is where my pores are the most visible.
Then I applied some of my favorite foundation, which is the Dior Forever Undercover in the shade 015. I love this foundation because despite being full coverage, it feels really light on my skin. It also wears really well throughout the day. To apply it, I used the Zoeva Silk Finish brush (102).
Then, to add a little touch of color I used the Benefit Cosmetics Galifornia blush. I really love this blush, the color is perfect for summer since it’s a nice coral shade. I applied it with the Zoeva Luxe Sheer Cheek brush (127).
For that summer glow, I applied the gorgeous Fenty Beauty Killawatt highlighter in the shade Hu$tla Baby. This shade is a really pretty rose gold with lot’s of shimmer, seriously obsessed with this one at the moment! I applied it with the Zoeva Face Shape brush (110).
Eyes & Lips
For the eyes I started by priming them using the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion. I applied it using my finger tips.
Then I used my very well loved Urban Decay Naked Heat palette. I love using this palette in the summer time, it’s just so freakin’ beautiful! You can create so many different looks with it, natural or dramatic. Here are the steps:
Step 1: Apply “Chaser” all over the lid as a base shadow.
Step 2: Apply a mix of “Sauced” and “Low Blow” in the crease as a transitioning shade.
Step 3: Apply “He Devil” in the crease to add depth.
Step 4: Apply “En Fuego” in the outer corner to define the eye a little more.
Step 5: Apply “Dirty Talk” in the center of the lid to add some shimmer.
Step 6: Apply “Ounce” in the inner corner and brow bone to highlight.
After the eyeshadow I applied the Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara. This one really defines your lashes and adds volume without being clumpy.
Then for the lips I wore a Charlotte Tilbury satin lipstick in the shade Stoned Rose. This color goes really well with this makeup look because it’s a pretty orangey rose shade.
And the last step of this summer glow makeup look is setting spray! I used my holy grail, the Urban Decay All Nighter.
And here is the final look:
