Hello there everyone, I hope you are doing well!
Today I am very excited because this is my very first sponsored blog post! It is brought to you by Holiday Gems, who is a British travel agency. They saw my pictures on my Instagram from my recent trip to the Costa del Sol in Spain and gently asked me to talk about it.
For some reason, I didn’t write a post about this trip, despite the huge amount of pictures I took and how great it was. So here I am, I really hope you will enjoy this post and please let me know if you have travelled to Spain before in the comments!
Last summer, I travelled to the Costa del Sol with my family and we stayed near Marbella and Malaga, which is in the south of Spain in Andalusia.
The first place we visited was Mijas Pueblo (= village in Spanish). This little village is located in the hills, near Fuengirola. From this place, there was a beautiful view of the hills and of the sea in front of you. The streets are quite narrow and all the houses are white (which reminded me of the little villages in Greece). There are lots of little souvenir shops and authentic pottery shops. On the walls, there was also a lot of little flower pots, which brought color to the white houses. Even though it was the middle of summer, there wasn’t too many tourists so it was great for taking pictures. The whole village was so photogenic!
Just look at these gorgeous streets:
Next, we went to Marbella.
There was beautiful gardens near the sea, literally so much vegetation! It was really pretty, it felt like the jungle.
Then we walked in the pueblo, which was the oldest part of the city. Marbella is quite big, there are a lot of beaches and touristy areas where you can do lots of shopping. The pueblo was quite similar to Mijas, lots of flowers and beautiful white houses. Lots of very authentic Spanish restaurants as well, where we ate seafood and tapas, so delicious! And there was also more cute flower pots:
Then we went to Malaga, another big city. There was also huge gardens with lots of gorgeous different plants.
The houses were different from the ones is the pueblos, they were more colorful:
Then we visited a city called Ronda, which was further away from the coast. This place is famous for the cliffs that surround it and the big bridge. On the bridge, we were able to have a great view of the cliffs, which was very high (so if you are afraid of heights I wouldn’t recommend looking down).
We were able to go down to the very bottom of the cliffs, where there was a river.
And of course we went to the beach…
And that’s it, that was a few pictures from my trip to the Costa del Sol! I really hope you liked this post, please let me know in the comments below if you have travelled to Spain before!
