The holidays are coming and it’s finally the time to bring out the bling! This period is hardly something we’d call relaxing with so many parties and special dinners marked on our calendar, but still, it’s pretty damn fun and we’re about to make it even better! For that beautiful glam goddess that lies within you and can’t wait to be unleashed, we offer some amazing tips that will prepare you for any event, and have you looking positively alluring.

Hey, if you start early, there’ll be less stress involved. Besides, we know you can’t wait to indulge in that luxurious beauty prep that you love so much. First off, if you have any major skin issues now would be a good time to start addressing them. Time for a trip to the dermatologist’s office or a good skin clinic so you can get some recommendations and maybe a nice chemical peel that will help you get your acne, wrinkles, or other issues under control. Get some salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide ready for the pimples, start using a vitamin C serum in the evening to help your skin retain its plumpness.

If you want to make sure your holiday photos are appropriately gasp-worthy, you’ve got to keep one thing in mind – your smile. You don’t want pictures with your yellowing teeth put on display, nor do you want some tight half-smiles that make you look strained. Nope, we want to see a huge, happy grin on your face, so consider brushing your teeth with a paste made of baking soda and vinegar at night, or any of the other teeth-whitening hacks. This is also a good time to put some spray tan on if you want that gorgeous bronzed look. Two weeks gives you enough time to even out your skin tone and look nicely tanned, instead of orange.

The excitement’s growing! Time to get a haircut and a dye job, and to start using nourishing hair packs. Try this ritual: use a mixture of castor oil, coconut oil, and olive oil and put it on the length of your hair (avoid the roots!). Leave this over night and your hair will be left silky soft and smooth.
Keep your body in mind as well. A week before is just the time to do a complete body and face scrub, and to touch up on your fake tan lightly. You can use a sea salt or sugar scrub for your body, but do try to use something more gentle on your face. Another good thing to do is to make a nourishing feet and hand mask. Grab some cotton socks and gloves, and apply one of these masks to soften the skin and make it plush and youthful.
Three days before
Time to wax! Remove all the unwanted body hair, and drink plenty of water. You’ll need to be hydrated when the partying starts. Good time for a cute mani and pedi as well.

Here’s the fun part – the ultimate prep. Wash your hair thoroughly, apply a volumizing root treatment, and in case you want some sexy, wild curls, tie it into bantu knots. Cleanse your face and apply a hydrating sheet mask that will give you that sexy, soft glow, and don’t forget to do a lip scrub. You’ve probably already picked out your outfits, so now’s the time to pick out the matching glam makeup.
Luckily, no need to be subdued (unless you want to)! You can have all the sparkle, shimmer, and glitter that you like and no one’s gonna stop you. The most important things to have ready in your makeup bag are: a lash-lengthening mascara by Purple Peach, a bold lipstick, a peachy blush, and highlighter! No one wants to skip highlighter for the holidays, come on. It’s like the most fun part of the process.
One last tip: keep some blotting papers in your bag. You don’t want that shiny forehead to ruin your pictures, and even gals with very dry skin tend to get a little oily in their t-zone when the dancing and the wildness start. And now girl, you’re ready! Go forth, goddess. Bring that bling into the room!
