Fresh Spring Makeup & OOTD

Spring makeup & OOTD

Hello there my cute readers, I hope you are doing really well!

Spring is here and it has been raining quite a lot (which I guess is kinda typical for spring). Temperature wise, it hasn’t been too cold so that’s why I am sharing an OOTD (outfit of the day) and a nice fresh spring makeup look. I shot this in my bedroom (because of the weather) but I am quite happy with how the pictures turned out!

I just need to say that I am not a makeup artist, I learned how to apply makeup on my own and by watching YouTube videos. My way of applying a certain product may not be how you would apply it, so if you want to recreate this look (I would be really happy if you did!) you are free of doing it like you would apply your own makeup.

I really hope you will like this post, so let’s get started!

Spring makeup & OOTD

First of all, the makeup look!

Before I did my makeup, I made sure that my skin was clean and hydrated. That way, it will allow  my makeup to look a lot fresher. Next, I applied one of my favorite primers, the Urban Decay Optical Illusion complexion primer. It’s smoothing, helps to minimize my pores and also makes my makeup last a lot longer. It also has rosehip and argan oil. I applied this product with my fingers, just as if I applied a facial cream.

Next, I used another product from Urban Decay, it’s their color correcting fluid in green. The green pigments help to conceal redness areas and blemishes. I applied this product with the Zoeva concealer buffer brush (number 142).

Then, I grabbed my bb cream. It’s the Urban Decay Naked Skin One & Done hybrid complexion perfector (what a long name I know). I really like this bb cream, it feels super light on my skin and still has a nice coverage. I applied this product with the Zoeva silk finish brush (number 102).

Next, I applied some powder. I used the M.A.C. Studio fix powder with the Zoeva powder brush (number 106). This powder from M.A.C. is probably my favorite powder of all time! It lasts for so long and has nice coverage.

Then, to bring back some color to my face since I tend to be quite pale, I applied some blush on the apples of my cheeks. For that, I used the Chanel Joues Contraste blush in the shade Rose Initial (number 72) with the Zoeva Luxe Sheer Cheek brush (number 127). The blush is a very pretty pink color with a bit of shimmer.

Next, I grabbed one of my favorite highlighters, the Jeffree Star Skin Frost highlighter in the shade King Tut. For that I used the Zoeva Face Shape brush (number 110). This product is super pigmented and gives you such a nice glow! I applied it on the top of my cheek bones, on my cupid’s bow and on the bridge of my nose.

Then, I did my brows. I don’t do much to them, I just fill them in lightly using the Benefit Cosmetics Ka-Brow pommade in the shade number 4. I applied it with the little angled brush that comes with it. And then I just apply a clear brow gel also from Benefit Cosmetics, it’s their Ready-Set-Brow gel, in order to set the brow pommade. (See the product on the 4th picture from the top)

Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette

Now, onto my favorite part: the eyes! For this makeup look, I decided to use the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance eyeshadow palette. This is the newest addition to my palette collection and I could not be more happy that I bought it! The colors are so gorgeous and super pigmented. You can create so many different eyeshadow looks with it!

First, I applied the shade called “Vermeer” (which by the way is a famous Dutch painter, one of his most famous paintings is the Milkmaid) all over my lid. This color (number 1 on pic above) is a nice shimmery light pink, perfect to illuminate your eyes. I applied this eyeshadow using the Zoeva Luxe All Over Shader brush (number 222). Then, using the Real techniques Base Shadow brush, I applied the shade called “Antique Bronze” (number 2 on pic above) in my crease. As you may have guessed by the name, it’s a beautiful shimmery bronze color. I made sure that both colors were blended, in order to avoid harsh lines. Next, I applied the Benefit Cosmetics Roller Lash mascara (which is my fave mascara of all time!) on my top and bottom lashes.

To finish off the whole look, I applied the Dior Lacquer Stick in the shade L.A. Pink (number 570). This one is the newest lipstick I bought and I am currently obsessed with it! It’s super moisturizing and lasts for a long time.

The last step is applying some setting spray, in order to help my makeup to stay in place and last all day. I used the Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray.
